All Drivers will need to complete a minimum of 35 hours of periodic training within every 5 year period. The training requires drivers to attend training courses, but no tests or exams will be taken.

Existing Drivers already have acquired rights. LGV drivers have until 9th September 2014 to complete their 35 hours of Periodic Training. Bus and Coach drivers have until 9th September 2013 to complete their Periodic Training.

The DVSA announced that with effect from 29th August 2020, no modules can be repeated, without good reason, for example Dangerous Goods Driving.

The DVSA could revoke your CPC card if they find you have repeated modules. You can check this on the DVSA website.
